One hundred years from now, people won’t remember what it was like to see me smile or hear me laugh. Those things are fleeting, but the impact of my contributions, philanthropic endeavors, and mentoring—those things will last. People will feel their impact for generations to come. I know that the world will see a social change due to the leadership of a 4-H student. My hope is that UGA scholarship recipients will provide solutions that will slow the rate of climate change to help make the world a better place. I believe that making a lasting contribution is the only way to guarantee a lasting legacy.
